Welcome to the Sanibel Candle Company, a journey born from love and strengthened by resilience. Founded by Tom and Pam Stumph in July 2021, our roots in Sanibel Island run deep. Our dream of sharing the magic of this enchanting place with the world led us to open our first store at the Periwinkle Place Shops.

However, just days before our grand opening, Hurricane Ian struck, leaving nothing but devastation in its wake. It was an emotional journey as we ventured by boat and truck to witness the remnants of our hard work and dreams.

But like a candle that flickers but doesn’t go out, we persevered. We relocated all day-to-day operations to our home garage and began the painstaking process of rebuilding and handcrafting everything anew. The outpouring of support from our community was overwhelming, with generous donations of everything from labels to helping hands.
